Answers

  1. How long does the grant application process take?

Trustees meet to consider applications roughly four times a year. In order for papers to be circulated in advance for consideration by Trustees, we recommend that you submit your application at least three months before you need a decision on funding for your project. back to top ^

  2. What information is required in order to make an application?

The application form can be found here . Your application will be considered more quickly if you submit information supporting it in this format. If you are unable to complete any part of it, please indicate the reason for this on the application form itself and submit additional information in a different format. Please note that formula applications are unlikely to be successful. back to top ^

  3. Will my application be acknowledged?

Applications will not normally be acknowledged. We may need to contact you for additional information to support your application. All applicants will be informed by letter as soon as the Trustees have made a decision about their application. back to top ^

  4. Are there any conditions attached to grants?

In certain circumstances the Trustees may determine that they will support an application provided certain conditions are met. These will be explained very clearly in writing, setting out any special terms on which a grant may be made, eg subject to confirmation of funding from other sources, funding spread over several years etc back to top ^

  5. Will I be able to publicise any support promised by the Trust?

The Trust actively encourages publicity for the grants that it awards for the dual purpose of encouraging applications from other qualifying organisations and projects, and to raise awareness in the community of the applicant's activities. The Trust may contact successful applicants to seek their cooperation in arranging media coverage. Applicants should obtain approval for any statements or press releases by e-mailing the Trust. back to top ^
