2013 onwards

Rhiannon was awarded a bursary to pursue studies in Dance Theatre at Plymouth University, which began in 2013.
During her time in Plymouth, Rhiannon was able to work with people like Adam Benjamin, founder of Candoco, from which she developed an interest in disability dance and advanced improvisation, and strengthened her resolve to develop her skills in choreography.

Rhiannon also volunteered for the Plymouth U-Dance festival 2015, and carried out a variety of ASM work on schools’ tours leading up to the festival. She was asked to take part in performances with youth dance company Adapt, working with wheelchair users and people with other disabilities. She was asked to take part in a research and development project with Exim Dance Company in summer 2015, which entailed creatively assisting a dancer with disabilities.

In 2015 Rhiannon won the Deans Award for Dance Theatre, and now hopes to go on to study for a Master’s.
