Sunflower House is a disused former chapel on Folkestone’s Foord Road, sitting virtually underneath William Cubitt’s famous railway viaduct.  Leased from the Harbour Community Church under a 10-year peppercorn arrangement, the building has been carefully refurbished with the aid of grants from a variety of sources, including the Roger De Haan Charitable Trust, which made a donation to enable repairs to the roof.

From August 2014, the building is being used as a new community venue, offering accommodation for courses, events and projects, under the management of The Bradstone Association, a neighbourhood residents’ group. Sunflower House is a not-for-profit project with surplus funds re-invested to maintain the fabric of the building.
